General Description

SAC3161Q5 is a GaAs MMIC power amplifier for 2 to 7 GHz in a 5 x 5 mm plastic QFN. It provides 28 dB of small signal gain, 33 dBm CW output P1dB and 25% PAE at P1dB, measured at 4 GHz.

Bias is +8 V on the drain with a negative gate voltage, at 1500 mA. The lead-free 28-lead AQFN package is 5 x 5 x 1.4 mm, and gain flatness across the band is ±4 dB. Its wide coverage lets one footprint serve S and C-band multifunction radar as well as point-to-point radios.
