General Description

SAC3163QP5 is a GaN power amplifier in a 5 x 5 x 0.75 mm QFN that runs from 9 kHz all the way to 6 GHz. It puts out 35 dBm with 14 dB of small signal gain and 38% PAE at 6 GHz.

Drain voltage is +28 V with a negative gate supply, and bias current is 1000 mA. Holding 38% PAE at the top of the band keeps dissipation manageable in such a small package. It suits wideband point-to-point radio transmitters that want a single amplifier for the whole range.
