General Description

SAC3164QP4 is a GaN power amplifier covering 30 kHz to 8 GHz in a 4 x 4 mm QFN. Output power is 33 dBm, small signal gain is 14 dB, and PAE reaches 55% at 6 GHz.

It takes +28 V on the drain and a negative gate voltage, with about 1000 mA of bias current, in a 4 x 4 x 1.1 mm footprint. Because the band runs from kHz frequencies up through 8 GHz, one part can stand in for several band-specific stages in a point-to-point radio transmitter.
