General Description

Covering 30 kHz to 12 GHz, SAC3165QP4 is a GaN power amplifier in a 4 x 4 x 1.1 mm QFN with 32 dBm of output power and 12 dB of small signal gain.

PAE is 45% at 6 GHz. The drain runs at +28 V, the gate needs a negative bias, and bias current is 1000 mA. Getting that much continuous bandwidth out of one small package helps point-to-point radio designs that would otherwise juggle several narrowband amplifiers.
