General Description

SAC3956 is a wideband GaAs MMIC power amplifier die that works from 20 to 55 GHz. It provides 20 dB of small signal gain, held within ±3 dB across the band, and 16 dBm output P1dB.

A single +5 V supply at 180 mA powers it. The 1.2 x 1.7 x 0.1 mm die has surface passivation, backside vias and gold metallization for conductive epoxy attach. With that much bandwidth on one chip, it can cover several millimeter wave bands in microwave radio, telecom and test instrumentation.
