General Description

SAC5006ACR5 is a GaN MMIC power amplifier covering 2 to 6 GHz in a CR5 metal-ceramic package. It delivers 46 dBm with 35 dB small signal gain, 25 dB power gain and 35% PAE.

Operating point is +28 V on the drain with a negative gate bias, at about 8 A. Spanning S-band through C-band, a single stage can cover several bands in a point-to-point radio or other wideband transmitter instead of needing separate narrowband PAs.
