General Description

SAC5022 is a GaN MMIC power amplifier die covering 2 to 8 GHz, with 44 dBm CW saturated output, 33 dB small signal gain and 30% PAE.

Driven with 25 dBm in, it gives about 25 dB of power gain. The die runs from +28 V with negative gate bias and draws around 5 A, and both RF ports are matched internally. Two octaves of bandwidth in one die makes it handy for multi-band point-to-point radio and other wideband transmit chains.
