General Description

SAC1141 is an X-band power amplifier module built on GaAs MMICs, covering 9 to 11 GHz. It puts out 42 dBm at 3 dB compression with 23 dB of small signal gain.

Power comes from a +13.5 to +15 V supply, and the module pulls about 5.5 A at full bias. A DC/DC converter is built in. Given the output level and current draw, plan on proper heatsinking; it is aimed at X-band transmitters for microwave radio, telecom links and test instrumentation.
