General Description

SAC3231 is a reflective GaAs PIN diode SP2T switch die reaching from 15 to 50 GHz. At 50 GHz it shows 2 dB insertion loss and 40 dB isolation.

Switching is around 25 ns. Each diode path runs at about 1 V and 15 mA forward bias, and input power can go to +28 dBm with -15 V reverse bias applied. Blocking capacitors and bias lines are built into every RF port, under full passivation plus a PBO scratch layer. Its upper band edge makes it a candidate for Q-band and upper Ka-band path switching.
