General Description

SAC3916Q5 is a 12 to 18 GHz GaAs MMIC driver amplifier in a 5 x 5 mm QFN for surface mount assembly. Typical numbers are 22 dB gain with ±2.5 dB flatness, 30 dBm output P1dB and 40 dBm output IP3.

Bias is +5 to +6 V and the part pulls around 1000 mA, so give the ground paddle a solid thermal path. Input VSWR is 1.5:1 and the body is 5 x 5 x 1.2 mm. It slots into Ku-band transmit chains for point to point radio, VSAT and SatCom terminals.
