General Description

SAC1127 is a 50 W Ku-band power amplifier module built on GaAs MMICs, covering 13.5 to 14.75 GHz. Output P1dB is +47.5 dBm with 23 dB of small signal gain.

RF comes in on an SMA-K connector and leaves through a WR-62 waveguide flange, with 14 dB return loss on both ports. DC is fed through feed-thru capacitors at +8.5 V and the module draws about 25 A. Its 7050 aluminum alloy housing weighs 1200 g. A fit for Ku-band VSAT uplink transmitters and other microwave communication links that need tens of watts.
